How to use Producky, from zero
A complete first-session walkthrough — from creating an account to a fully set-up week.
This is the whole path from a blank account to a working system, in order. Every step links back to a fuller article if you want more detail — this one's about getting moving.
1. Create your account
Sign up with your email and a password. You're on a 7-day Pro trial immediately — no credit card, nothing to activate. That gets you Insights, Shared Spaces, and no area/task/habit limits while you try things out.
2. Answer the setup survey (or skip it)
Three quick questions about what you want to focus on, how organized you already are, and your biggest challenge. Answer honestly and Producky seeds a handful of example tasks, a habit, and a couple of calendar events themed around your answers — or skip the survey for a completely blank app.
3. Take the guided tour
A short walkthrough points at Today, Tasks, Habits, Week, Notes, and quick capture. Skip it if you'd rather explore on your own — you can replay it later from Settings → Help.
4. Set up your life areas
Before you add much, check Settings → Life areas. A few color-coded areas — Work, Health, Family, whatever fits your life — is what keeps Tasks and Week from turning into one undifferentiated list. Free accounts get up to 5.
5. Add your first tasks
Head to Tasks and add a few things you actually need to do this week. Give the important ones a priority and a due date. Or use quick capture — the orange + button — from anywhere, and try typing a date right into the text ("submit the report friday"); Producky will offer to pull the date out for you.
6. Start a habit
Pick one recurring thing you want to build consistency on and add it under Habits. Check it off today if you've already done it — your streak starts counting immediately, and it won't break until a full day passes without a check-in.
7. Look at your week
Open Week to see everything laid out Monday through Sunday. Add an event directly there, or give a task a due date/time from Tasks — either way it shows up on the calendar. This is the view that tells you honestly whether your week is realistic.
8. Turn on notifications
Settings → Notifications. A daily reminder and task/event digests keep Producky from being something you have to remember to check. All of them are free, and you can turn any of them off later.
9. Connect Google Calendar (optional)
If your schedule already lives in Google Calendar, connect it from Settings → Integrations so Week — and Today — show the full picture. You can also let Producky push events back out to Google, so it stays a two-way sync instead of a one-way import.
10. Pick your look
Settings → Appearance to switch between light, dark, or match your system's setting. Purely cosmetic — nothing else about the app changes.
11. Install it on your phone or desktop
Producky installs straight from your browser — no app store. Add to Home Screen on iOS, Install app on Android, or use the install icon in a desktop browser's address bar. It behaves like a native app from there.
12. Secure your account
Worth doing once things are set up the way you like: turn on two-factor authentication in Settings → Security, and save the backup codes it gives you somewhere safe.
