Organizing with Life Areas
Color-coded categories that keep work, family, and everything else from blurring together.
Life areas are the categories your tasks, habits, and notes get organized under — Work, Family, Health, or whatever divisions make sense for you. Each area gets its own color, used consistently across Today, Tasks, Habits, and Week.
Managing areas
Add, rename, recolor, and reorder your areas from Settings → Life areas. Reordering here changes the order they appear throughout the app.
The Free plan limit
Free accounts can have up to 5 life areas. Pro removes the cap.
Areas and Shared Spaces
Areas belong to whichever space they're created in. Your Personal space has its own areas; a Shared Space has its own separate set, so a shared 'Family' space's areas don't mix with your personal ones.
